(Undated) -- CBS' tribute to the Beatles held its own on Sunday night but was still no match for NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics. Preliminary numbers show some 14 million viewers tuned in to watch "The Night That Changed America: Grammy Salute to the Beatles," helping CBS to a second place finish in the ratings with "60 Minutes" and a rerun of "The Millers" also in the lineup. The star-studded tribute include performances from some of today's top stars and surviving Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. It aired 50 years to the date of the Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964. About 74 million viewers tuned in to that original broadcast.
Meantime, the Sochi Games earned a ratings gold in primetime, pulling in an average of 25-point-four-million viewers to give NBC a big lead over its competitors. With reruns in their respective lineups, ABC and Fox tied for bronze - or third place - in the Sunday night ratings race.
