Boy Charged In New Mexico School Shooting

(Roswell, NM) -- A 12-year-old New Mexico boy accused of shooting and seriously wounding two fellow students at his school will be tried as a juvenile. Police say the boy took a sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun from his home Tuesday morning and opened fire at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell. The injured boy and girl are hospitalized in Lubbock, Texas, where the boy is still in critical condition. The suspect is charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
