(St. Paul, MN) -- A increase in crime on and around the University of Minnesota campus is shaking up the student body. Student Sara Gottlieb testified before the state Senate Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee yesterday that students "no longer feel safe walking outside." Lawmakers held a hearing to discuss the crime problem, with recent incidents including armed robberies and sexual assaults. Campus police told Senators they have hired more officers and are working to make other improvements.
