Barbara Walters Feted At Star-Studded Retirement Party
(New York, NY) -- Barbara Walters isn't necessarily ruling out a comeback. At her retirement party in New York City Wednesday, the broadcast vet offered an "a bientot" , which is French for "see you later," instead of goodbye. According to TheWrap.com, Walters told the crowd gathered for her farewell, "Who knows what the future brings?" The ABC News party brought out plenty of Walters' friends, colleagues and interview subjects including Woody Allen, Joan Rivers, her co-hosts on "The View" and the anchors of "Good Morning America." Walters is ending six decades of broadcast journalism this Friday with a final appearance as co-host on "The View." Before her final show, Walters will reunite with the show's past and present co-hosts on Thursday's "View" episode.
