Lawmakers Could Again Consider Medical Marijuana

(St. Paul, MN) -- State lawmakers could be preparing to try again to legalize medical marijuana in Minnesota. A bill was passed in 2009, but vetoed by former Governor Tim Pawlenty on the grounds that police opposed the move, and Governor Dayton also promises a veto. KSTP-TV reports the advocacy group Minnesotans for Compassionate Care is pushing for action, noting medicinal weed can help people suffering from chronic pain.
