Armored Car Guard Gets Life For Murder During Heist

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- A former Pennsylvania armored truck guard is sentenced to life in prison plus ten to 20 years for murdering his coworker and stealing more than two-million dollars. Ken Konias, Jr. killed Michael Haines during a 2012 heist near Pittsburgh. Konias shot Haines, got rid of the truck and fled to Florida. When Konias was taken into custody, investigators found a suitcase filled with about one-million dollars.
During sentencing today, the 24-year-old Konias interrupted the judge and said "I was going to suggest you not lecture me and just give me my sentence so we can all proceed."
