(Phoenix, AZ) -- Lawyers for an Arizona inmate say records released Friday provide more evidence the execution of Joseph Wood was botched. Official logs of the July 23rd execution show that Wood was injected with 15 doses of a drug combination before he was pronounced dead. The Arizona Department of Corrections says the logs show Woods was properly sedated and felt no pain during the nearly two-hour-long execution. In a statement, the department says Director Charles Ryan followed proper protocol throughout the execution. Arizona has suspended any further executions while a review ordered by Governor Jan Brewer is pending.
