(Washington, DC) -- The annual March for Life is set for today on the National Mall. The event coincides with the 41st anniversary of Roe versus Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark ruling on abortion. March for Life organizers vow to hold the event, regardless of weather. Frigid temperatures are expected after a winter storm blanketed the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions yesterday. An hour-long rally will precede a march to the Supreme Court. Speakers at the rally will include House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and New Jersey Republican Congressman Chris Smith. Illinois Democratic Congressman Dan Lipinski is also expected to speak. In a statement, March for Life President Jeanne Monahan said -- "Support for life pervades American society, regardless of party affiliation."
