(Las Vegas, NV) -- "Juno" star Ellen Page makes a big announcement.
Speaking at the LGBT youth conference Thrive in Las Vegas Friday, the 26-year-old actress revealed that she is gay. Holding back emotion at parts during her speech, Page said she was "tired of hiding" and tired of "lying by omission." Page cited Missouri football player Michael Sam who also announced he's gay last week and Laverne Cox of "Orange Is The New Black" as inspiration for her decision to go public with her sexual orientation. The Canadian-born actress says she hopes to help others have an easier and more hopeful time.
