New Jersey Governor Christie Sued Over "Bridgegate"

(Bergen Co., NJ) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is being sued for his role in September's gridlock at the George Washington Bridge. Six Bergen County commuters claim they were late for work after being, quote, "trapped on local roads." One plaintiff claims she had a panic attack as a result. The lane blockages were reportedly an act of political retaliation against a mayor who did not support Christie's re-election bid.
The George Washington Bridge, linking New Jersey and New York City, is considered the busiest bridge in the world for drivers. It's used by close to 280-thousand cars each day.
