(Washington, DC) -- The already pushed back deadline to sign up for health insurance is being stretched a bit. The White House says if people can show they missed today's deadline because of problems with the government website, they'll still be able get coverage beginning January 1st. The Obama administration finessed Tuesday's deadline after a last-minute surge of interest among people seeking coverage. The White House first gave a December 15th deadline for people to sign up for coverage taking effect January 1st. That deadline was first extended eight days and then yesterday the White House added 24 more hours to it.
