Pope Preaches Love At Christmas Eve Mass

(Vatican City) -- Pope Francis is spreading a message of love and openness this Christmas. At Christmas Eve Mass, the Pope called on crowds gathered at St. Peter's Basilica to love their brothers and sisters. He told listeners to shun pride, keep open hearts and walk in the light. Newly installed Pope Francis presided over the Mass for his first time as leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
It has been a remarkable year for the Pope, who was recently named "Time" magazine's Person of the Year. His humility and dedication to the plight of the poor have resonated with the world.
