Minnesotan, Two Others Break Salvation Army Bell Record

(Albert Lea, MN) -- Salvation Army Captain Jim Brickstrom of Albert Lea and two others from California and Texas have set the record for the organization for ringing bells for 105 hours. The three were competing against each other and decided to call it quits after five straight days and besting the old mark of 80 hours by over a full day. The three men put out a joint statement saying they accomplished what they wanted to do, which was to bring attention to the work of the Salvation Army.
