(Minneapolis, MN) -- The investigation into the massive data breach at Target now includes the U.S. Department of Justice. The Minneapolis-based retailer released a brief statement yesterday confirming the involvement of federal prosecutors as the number of lawsuits filed against the company continues to grow. Target's top attorney took part in a conference call yesterday with state attorneys general from across the U.S. as they discussed the impact of a cyberattack that affected 40-million customers. Their debit and credit card information was exposed from transactions between November 27th and December 15th.
