Dennis Rodman Apologizes For Controversial Rant

(Undated) -- Dennis Rodman is apologizing for an angry rant that implied a U.S. missionary imprisoned in North Korea deserves to be held there. In a statement released by his publicist early this morning, Rodman apologized to Kenneth Bae's family, as well as to his management team and the players who traveled with him to North Korea for an exhibition basketball game. Bae's sister Terri Chung agrees Rodman should have known better.
Rodman also apologized to Chris Cuomo, the CNN anchor who interviewed him Tuesday morning when he made the inflammatory statements. Rodman said he was under a lot of stress Tuesday as several of his teammates were getting ready to leave the trip because of pressure from family and other interests. He said he was upset, overwhelmed and had been drinking at the time of the interview. Rodman added that he had "embarrassed a lot of people" and that he "should know better than to make political statements."
