(Minneapolis, MN) -- Out of office for just a few days, former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is recovering from a heart attack at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. His doctor credits quick action by friends with saving the 58-year-old's life on Saturday. Rybak was skiing at Theodore Wirth park and started experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath when two friends noticed him in his car, sweating profusely. Dr. Elizabeth Grey said the 911 call placed by Dr. Ed Ryan and Scott Gislason likely saved Rybak's life, adding if they had waited just 15 more minutes the "outcome could have been completely opposite."
