(Undated) -- Firefighters are taking advantage of calm winds to gain ground on a wildfire in the San Gabriel Mountains east of Los Angeles. The blaze known as the Colby fire has scorched 17-hundred acres, destroyed five homes, and forced hundreds of people in the communities of Glendora and Azusa to evacuate. The fire started early Thursday morning. Authorities have arrested three young men who, they say, started a campfire to keep warm. More than 700 firefighters from local, state, and federal agencies have the fire about 30-percent contained.
