(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead police are thanking a Minnesota State Moorhead student for "commendable character and honesty" for turning in 28 hundred dollars she found in an envelope in a McDonald's parking lot Tuesday. Nineteen-year-old Erica Clark says she was sitting down in her car and just about to close the door when she saw an envelope partially covered with snow. Clark says she expected it to be something like mail and was "just shocked" when she opened it and found all hundred-dollar bills. There was a bank slip in the envelope and police located the owner, who said he'd withdrawn cash to buy a pickup truck. The man is meeting with Erica today to personally thank her.
