(Undated) -- With more frigid weather bearing down on the Midwest and Northeast, stockpiles of crucial supplies are running low. Several states face a shortage of propane. Supplies are running low enough to prompt the governors of Michigan and Ohio to declare an emergency, which will allow drivers to travel more hours to ship propane from out-of-state. Many local governments have already maxed out their snow removal budgets and risk running low on the sand needed to keep roads safe.
