U.S. Job Gains Expected In November

(Washington, DC) -- The Labor Department's eagerly awaited employment report for November is due out shortly. It's to be released at 8:30 a.m., Eastern time. A survey of economists shows nonfarm payrolls are expected to have jumped by 180-thousand last month. The unemployment rate is expected to slip a tenth of a percentage point to seven-point-two percent. It's the result of some federal workers who were counted as jobless in October returning to work after the partial shutdown of the government.
