LA Sheriff Says He'll Retire At The End Of This Month

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca says he will retire at the end of this month. In press conference, Baca remarked that he has many reasons for stepping down.
More than a dozen of Baca's deputies face federal charges for allegedly beating inmates. Baca was elected in 1998 and won a fourth term in 2010.
