Obama Says Diplomacy Is Best Test In Dealing With Iran

(Washington, DC) -- President Obama is renewing his commitment to try diplomacy to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. The President defended the recent nuclear agreement with Iran at a forum on U.S.-Israel relations hosted by the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington, D.C. today. Obama said while the U.S. can't completely trust Iran, the best way to assure Tehran doesn't get a nuclear weapon is to "test the diplomatic path." The president's comments come as tensions are high between the U.S. and Israel over the recent agreement with Iran and efforts to broker a peace deal with the Palestinians.
