Heavy Snowfall Closes JFK Airport And Impacts Others NY Airports

(New York, NY) -- Heavy snow has shut down New York's JFK Airport. Kennedy was closed around 6:15 this morning, Eastern time. The FAA says it could reopen at 8:30 a.m. If you're scheduled to fly today or pick up returning travelers you'll want to check with your airline before heading out to any of the New York airports. LaGuardia and Newark Liberty International are still open at this point. However, hundreds of flights have been cancelled and there are major delays at both airports.
