(St. Paul, MN) -- A benefit is planned for Sunday for the University of Minnesota-Duluth student recovering in a Twin Cities hospital from severe hypothermia. Alyssa Lommel could get her feeding tube removed today or tomorrow and her mother posted on her CaringBridge website that her daughter is starting to accept the fact she's going to lose fingers and toes due to the injuries. Lommel spent the night of December 6 sleeping outside on her front porch in Duluth and was found about nine hours later suffering from exposure. Sunday's benefit will be at the Blue Line South in St. Cloud with a spaghetti dinner, meat raffle and silent auction.
