Zimmer Chosen As Vikes Next Coach

(Eden Prairie, MN) -- Multiple media outlets report the Minnesota Vikings have chosen Mike Zimmer as their next head coach. Fifty-seven-year-old Zimmer has been defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals since 2008 and previously worked with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. He's a 20-year assistant coaching veteran in the N-F-L but this will be his first head coaching job. ESPN is reporting the team and Zimmer are hammering out contract details. There is no official word from the Vikings on when Zimmer will be formally introduced. He'll become the ninth coach in Vikings history.
