(Washington, DC) -- Secretary of State John Kerry is heading to the Middle East just days after Israel is due to release another group of Palestinian prisoners. A U.S. official says Kerry will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas next week as part of his intensive shuttle diplomacy. The U.S. is working to create an agreement in which the two states can coexist peacefully. Kerry is trying to establish the framework for an interim accord, which would lead into another year of talks aimed at a full-blown treaty.
