(Undated) -- The United Arab Emirates will release a Minnesota man jailed in that country for nine months for posting a YouTube video that spoofed youth culture in Dubai. University of Minnesota graduate Shezanne Shez Cassim was jailed in April and sentenced in December to a year in prison followed by deportation and a fine. He's already served most of the sentence and now will be released and immediately deported. Senator Amy Klobuchar, who's been working on Cassim's release, says it's not only wonderful news for Shezanne, his family and friends, but simply the right thing to do. Klobuchar says "jailing this young man for months for posting a harmless video made absolutely no sense, especially in a country that prides itself on being a tolerant and just nation." Cassim is expected back in Minnesota sometime this week.
