Ex-mayor Bob Filner Sentenced To Probation, House Arrest

(San Diego, CA) -- Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner will spend three years on probation and three months under house arrest. A judge today accepted Filner's plea deal. Under the agreement, Filner is forbidden from holding public office and will be required to undergo mental health treatment. He's also forced to give up part of his pension. The disgraced ex-mayor pleaded guilty in October to grabbing and fondling three women while in office. The 71-year-old was charged with felony false imprisonment and two misdemeanor counts of battery.
