(Glendora, CA) -- Firefighters are getting a handle on a wildfire burning east of Los Angeles. Officials say the Colby Fire is about 60 percent contained after blackening 19-hundred acres and destroying five homes. The fire comes as California Governor Jerry Brown declares a drought emergency in the state. Brown says unless steps are taken now, the drought conditions could cripple Golden State crops and cause all sorts of water problems in communities up and down the state. He's asking Californians to reduce their water consumption voluntarily by 20 percent.
