(Minneapolis, MN) -- Roughly 40-percent of Hennepin County employees are in line for huge pay raises over the next two years. The County Board voted last week to approve pay hikes of at least two-point-five-percent for all county workers starting January 1st. Some who receive both that raise and STEP increases are set to have their pay rates go up by 15-percent. STEP raises have been frozen for the last three years, and for half of the years in the past decade, no raises were given to county workers at all.
