Stephen Curry, battling foul trouble much of the night, added 14 points in the first meeting between the teams since the first round of the playoffs last spring.
PHOENIX (AP) — Gerald Green hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points, Miles Plumlee grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds, and the Phoenix Suns dominated the paint in a 117-90 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers last night. Plumlee added 17 points while having his way inside with an ailing Pao Gasol in the Suns' third straight win.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn scored on Dallas' first two shots against the unbeaten Martin Jones and rookie linemate Valeri Nichushkin got the go-ahead goal on a power play in the second period, leading the Stars to a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings yesterday. Cody Eakin scored an insurance goal against Jones, who stopped 19 shots in his first NHL loss.
