Supreme Court Justice Halts Obamacare Contraceptive Mandate

(Washington, DC) -- A last-minute change to Obamacare as a U.S. Supreme Court justice blocks the part of the President's landmark healthcare reform law that mandates employers provide birth control coverage. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Tuesday granted a temporary exemption to Catholic groups challenging the part of the Affordable Care Act that requires employers to provide insurance policies that cover contraception. Those mandates had been set to take effect today.
