(Pyongyang) -- North Korea is reportedly releasing an American war vet they had been holding for more than a month. The official state news agency said the government has deported 85-year-old Merrill Newman. A week ago, North Korea charged the California man with committing "hostile acts" against the state. A video was released of Newman admitting the killing of army personnel and civilians and apologizing for his actions. Newman was visiting the north as a tourist when authorities took him off a flight on October 26th that was set to leave the country.
