(La Crosse, WI) -- The driver found dead in a car that plunged into a creek in La Crosse, Wisconsin was a student at Winona State University. Twenty-one-year-old Ellen Ahmann of Woodbury was the lone occupant of the car found submerged in eight-to-ten feet of water. A bus driver called dispatchers just before 1:30 Wednesday morning when he noticed tire tracks in the snow leaving the street, heading over a 40-foot embankment toward the water. An autopsy is planned for tomorrow.
