Influenza Now Widespread In Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) -- Flu activity is now widespread in Minnesota, but the numbers are a lot smaller than a year ago. The state Department of Health notes as of the week ending December 28, there were 71 influenza-related hospitalizations in the state, up from 51 the week before. To date, 189 Minnesotans have been hospitalized this season with the flu compared to over three-thousand by this time a year ago.
