Sunday, December 14, 7 - 9 p.m.
Saint Paul, Minn. – Beacon of Hope will present its annual Christmas program, The Promised Messiah, at First Lutheran Church on December 14, 2014. Open to the public, the concert will feature the Beacon of Hope Christmas Festival Choir accompanied by piano and instrumental trio. Led by choral director Tracie Hanson, the program will include the cantata, Journey of Promises, by Joseph Martin. It is a musical journey that traces the words of the Old Testament prophets and culminates in the glorious celebration of Christmas.
“Beacon of Hope’s annual Christmas program provides our congregation an opportunity for sharing their talent and diligent work with the community,” said Beacon of Hope’s Pastor Stephen Lonetti. “In celebrating the Christmas story through music and spoken word, we look forward to ushering in the Christmas season and focusing our attention on the birth of Jesus Christ.”
The annual Christmas program, held at First Lutheran Church—463 Maria Avenue, Saint Paul, Minn.—takes place on Sunday, December 14 at 7 p.m. All guests are invited to an informal reception immediately following the concert in the church annex.
“Music is an integral part of Beacon of Hope’s church life,” said Lonetti. “We love sharing the gospel through our Christmas program and look forward to welcoming guests to the historic Swede Hollow neighborhood of Saint Paul for an evening of beautiful music and message.”
