(Birmingham, AL) -- Operations are back to normal at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Alabama after a bomb threat caused a two-hour evacuation. An employee found a note in a bathroom saying there was a bomb in the terminal. Police with bomb sniffing dogs cleared the airport to conduct a sweep but found no threat. At least six flights into the airport were diverted and a number of departing flights were delayed due to the threat. The threat came two days after a gunman killed a TSA agent and wounded several others at Los Angeles International Airport.
