(Washington, DC) -- The U.S. is making a stand against the ongoing unrest in Egypt. CNN reports a U.S. official says the U.S. will cut off aid to Egypt. The White House held back some military aid to Cairo back in August. Speaking on anonymity, the U.S. official said the full suspension of aid was triggered by recent violence against protesters, including the deadly weekend disturbances there. The official says the suspension of aid will officially take effect in the days ahead.
