(Undated) -- Minnesota's harvest is advancing rapidly. USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey says with last week's freeze the corn crop is done maturing and there was improvement with 62 percent now good to excellent, and 13 percent very poor to poor. Twenty percent of the corn crop was harvested last week alone, and the total harvest is at 48 percent -- nearly on track with the five-year average. 91 percent of soybeans were harvested, 84 percent of the sugarbeets were lifted as of Sunday, compared with last year's 90 percent. Dry beans and potatoes were both nearly finished. The sunflower harvest is just 37 percent complete, remaining well behind the normal 67 percent.
