Alex Pelosi's Sundance debut has political angle

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) - Alexandra Pelosi says that now that she's hit career pinnacle - making her film debut at the Sundance Film Festival - everything else is downhill.

She's joking, but she wasn't understating the importance of seeing "Fall to Grace," about former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, appear at the event.

Pelosi says she wanted to do the documentary - which debuts in March on HBO - about the governor because so few people who go through scandal emerge from it and do good for others. McGreevey resigned from office in 2004 after admitting to cheating on his wife with a man. Now living as a gay man with a partner, he offers guidance to women in prisons.

Pelosi's mother, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, made the trip to Park City to see her daughter's debut here.
