Matthew Broderick stays; Kelli O'Hara goes

NEW YORK (AP) - Matthew Broderick is finding the work nice on Broadway and will be sticking around, but he's getting a new co-star.

Producers of "Nice Work If You Can Get It" said Wednesday that Broderick has extended his run to June 15, but Kelli O'Hara will play her final performance on March 31. She'll be replaced by Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller starting April 2.

"Nice Work If You Can Get It" is a screwball romantic comedy that takes place in the 1920s and tells the story of a female bootlegger who meets a wealthy, often-drunken playboy.

Book writer Joe DiPietro and director and choreographer Kathleen Marshall raided the Gershwin song catalog to cobble together a sumptuous score including "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," ''S'Wonderful" and "Fascinating Rhythm."
