AM1280 The Patriot was promoting the rally that is part of a national event by 2nd Right for this Friday, February 8th at each State Capital. We learned Feb 6th that the local organizer did not get a permit and did not have a PA system to address the crowd so it will be grassroots. We did not organize this event, so we cannot cancel it. People will still be attending the event, but we do not know what the agenda will be, if any, on Friday.
As a conservative station, with strong beliefs in our 2nd Amendment rights, we felt that it was our duty to let our listeners know about this event.
